Learning outcomes

LО-1. Know the main stages of the scientific research process. Master the basics of TRIZ and research methods;

LО-2. Possess methods of diagnostics and analysis of reliability of automation systems, taking into account the characteristics of their qualitative and quantitative indicators;

LО-3. To be proficient in calculating control system parameters and procedures for analytical design of regulators. 

LО-4.  Demonstrate readiness for pedagogical, scientific and methodological work and research activities in the field of professional training. Demonstrate the ability to actively social mobility, to independently learn new research methods, to change the scientific or industrial profile of their professional activities in the process of changing socio-cultural and social conditions of activity. 

LО-5. Master the basic methods of management theory: synthesis of systems with variable structure, modal management, identification, adaptation, etc.; 

LО-6.  Possess skills in software and stabilizing optimal control and synthesis of intelligent control systems;

LО-7. Know the features of digital control systems. Be able to synthesize digital controllers when automating production processes;

LО-8. To master the basic methods of data mining, descriptive analysis, correlation and regression analysis, etc.;

LО-9. Possess skills in creating MES systems, ensuring interaction between subsystems for the purpose of receiving and transmitting process and control data;

LО-10. Have skills in building microprocessor control systems (MCS). Be able to design hardware and software for MCS.

 

The goal of the EP “Automation and Control” is to train highly qualified personnel in the field of development, design and operation of automation systems for technical objects and technological processes, organization of work on the creation of automatic control systems.

 

Graduates of the EP “Automation and Control” will receive an Academic Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology when studying for 1.5 years in a major master’s program or a Master of Technical Sciences when studying for 2 years in a scientific and pedagogical master’s program.

 

Major subjects upon admission to the master's program: Linear automatic control systems (ACS), nonlinear ACS, theoretical foundations of electrical engineering.

 

Languages of study: Kazakh, Russian.

- demonstrate the ability to improve and develop their intellectual level based on knowledge of the philosophy of science, higher education pedagogy, foreign languages and management psychology. Able to independently acquire new knowledge and skills and expand his scientific worldview. Demonstrate research results in the form of reports, abstracts, publications and public discussions; interpret and present the results of scientific research, including in a foreign language;

- demonstrate the ability for active social mobility, to change the scientific or industrial profile of their professional activities in the process of changing sociocultural and social conditions of activity. Form solutions to problem situations based on communication skills and development of cognitive and practical abilities. Demonstrate knowledge of the life cycle of project activities, the basics of personnel management, production, management, management psychology;

- demonstrate successful performance of professional activities related to searching, processing and transmitting information in a foreign language. Demonstrate readiness for teaching activities in the field of professional training.

 

The scope of professional activity is the development, design, modeling and implementation of automation projects, informatization of production and technological processes, taking into account energy, technological, design, operational, ergonomic and economic indicators.

Types of professional activities - Specialist for work in research universities, research and design institutes, universities at enterprises of any profile capable of performing the following types of professional activities:

- calculation and design and design;

- production and technological;

- organizational and managerial;

- scientific and pedagogical.

In the process of preparing for professional activities, students master: programming in high-level languages and programming microcontrollers; methods of mathematical modeling and optimal control; modern methods and tools for developing and creating automation, artificial intelligence and control systems.
