The second, final day of the working trip to Wroclaw of the delegation of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev was rich and fruitful.

Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, or Wroclaw Polytechnica has become a place of business meetings and negotiations. This is one of the most reputable technical higher education institutions in Poland, which is consistently ranked in the TOP-3 of the national ranking.

Wroclaw University of Technology occupies a very impressive territory. It housed 119 (!) buildings and buildings. The number of students in various undergraduate programs is approximately 24,000 people. They study at 13 faculties. Some of them can be called related to various educational programs of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

 Management plus automation

The first meeting of the AUPET delegation headed by the Rector, professor Saule Sagintayeva on the territory of the Wroclaw University of Technology took place at the Faculty of Management. Cooperation with it is possible within the framework of the educational program "Entrepreneurship in Engineering", which is taught at AUPET on the basis of the Department “Management and Entrepreneurship in Engineering”. Another option for joint educational activities can be such a learning trajectory of the department of "Automation and Control" as "Automation and Informatization in Control Systems". On the part of the Faculty of Management of the Wroclaw University of Technology, interest was also shown in the new educational program - "Automation and Business Process Management", which will be taught at AUPET on the basis of the Department “Automation and Contro” together with the Department “Management and Entrepreneurship in Engineering”.

The Rector Saule Sagintayeva noted that AUPET and the Faculty of Management of Wroclaw University of Technology have common interests and potential for fruitful cooperation. Deputy Dean Mariusz Mazurkiewicz also expressed readiness for joint activities in all possible areas.

 Common interests

The next meeting at the Wroclaw University of Technology took place with the leadership of its Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Dean, Professor Waldemar Rebizant spoke about the structure, organization of the educational process and scientific research. Then the AUPET delegation presented a film about the possibilities, the potential of the Department “Automation and Control” and its laboratories, united in the Industry 4.0 Competence Center. The head of the department "Automation and Control" is Igor Fedorenko. He presented curricula and spoke about Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD educational programs in “Аutomation and СontrolЭ. During the discussion and exchange of views, Waldemar Rebizant and Deputy Dean Robert Lis expressed their interest in joint activities between the Department “Automation and Control” of the AUPET and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Wroclaw University of Technology. Most of all they were interested in the Department “Electrical Machines, Drives and Measurements”. One of the directions of her educational process is Industrial Automation. In addition, Waldemar Rebizant showed interest in another AUPET educational program - "Electric Power Industry".

Andrius Wuys: We have a lot in common!

In a very warm, friendly and at the same time businesslike atmosphere, the dialogue between the AUPET delegation and the rector of the Wroclaw University of Technology Arkadiusz Wuys took place. It should be noted that he first got acquainted with the activities of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev according to the information posted on its website.

The Rector of the Wroclaw University of Technology emphasized that there is much in common between the two universities. He expressed readiness for joint activities. Arcadius Vuys and the Rector of AUPET Saule Sagintayeva agreed to sign a number of agreements, both between universities and directly between the faculties of the Wroclaw Polytechnic University and the institutes of the Almaty University of power Engineering and Telecommunications. As one of the first practical steps, the parties outlined the organization of the exchange of students and faculty under the academic mobility program.

Then, after an interesting and detailed tour of the territory of the Wrocław University of Technology, the final meeting was held at the International Relations Office of the University. Its director Anna-Maria Rogalska and the head of the AUPET international department Madina Aliyarova discussed all issues related to the preparation of the necessary documents for all the agreements.
