A new educational program. "Biotechnical and Medical Systems and Devices" will be in the educational process of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev from 2022.

Education in collaboration with scientists and practitioners

One of the most equipped departments of AUPET - the department "Automation and Control" was chosen as the base for training. Considering that we are talking about the maintenance and repair of equipment and the development of hardware and software specifically for medical purposes, it was decided to implement this educational program in collaboration with the largest scientific, practical and educational healthcare structures in Kazakhstan. One of these most authoritative structures is the National Scientific Center for Surgery named after Alexander Syzganov. Partnership relations with the center are carried out on the basis of a memorandum of cooperation. It was signed this year by the rector of AUPET named after G. Daukeyev Saule Sagintayeva and the chairman of the board of the National Scientific Center for Surgery named after A.N. Syzganov Bolatbek Baimakhanov.

Another area of activity of the department "Automation and Control" to promote the educational program "Biotechnical and Medical Systems and Devices" is cooperation with Ankhal University. There, students are trained in the related specialty "Biomedical Engineering". This week the delegation of Anhalt University headed by professors Eduard Siemens and Mark Enzmann paid a working visit to AUPET. One of the issues was the discussion of cooperation on the educational program "Biotechnical Systems and Medical Devices". The head of the Automation and Control Department Igor Fedorenko and the head of the educational program, Professor Sarsenbek Zhusupbekov presented the curriculum and talked about ways to implement it.

Personnel needed everywhere

The technical capabilities of the National Scientific Center for Surgery named after A. Syzganov will be used to acquire practical skills and abilities by students of this specialty. Some of the classes will be conducted by its leading experts. Syzganov, Professor Bolatbek Baimakhanov with a delegation from Anhalt University, representatives of the Department "Automation and Control" and the Department "International Relations" of AUPET.

- "Biotechnical and medical systems and devices" is a necessary and very popular educational program, - Bolatbek Baimakhanov emphasized. - The training of specialists of this profile is very important for medicine in Kazakhstan. They are needed in all regions of the country - wherever there is medical equipment. We support the activities of AUPET in this direction. We are ready to do everything necessary to make our Center a good base for the training of engineers so necessary. for Kazakhstani medicine for the maintenance, repair and production of modern medical equipment.

While getting acquainted with the activities of the Center for Surgery, Professor Enzmann showed great interest in the technical equipment of modern equipment and technologies for examining and treating patients.
