The solemn ceremony of awarding the certificates of the Academy "Huawei ICT"  was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev on June 29, 2022. “Our first graduates have already achieved a lot: participation and victories in republican and international competitions and competitions. Thank you for trusting us and coming to the Huawei Academy!” said Academy certified teacher Tatiana Golubeva. “Thanks to this certificate, you will build a successful career not only in Huawei, but also in any other international telecommunications company,” said Viktor Tailakov, another certified teacher of the Academy.

A total of 170 certificates were awarded in two fields: Huawei Network Technology (Building secure networks) and Huawei Storage Systems and Cloud Computing. The head of the department Lyailya Turkenova and the directors of three institutes: Aliya Doszhanova, Zhubanysh Abdimuratov, Kuanysh Alipbaev said  parting words to the students. “I am pleased to see that many students have passed this Minor. Your desire to acquire new knowledge is worthy of all praise. You are well done! (Applause.) I would like to express special gratitude to Huawei for their help and cooperation in the development of the Huawei ICT Academy based on AUPET. This is a vivid example of a successful partnership between business and a university,” said Aliya Doszhanova, director of the Institute of Information Technologies.

In 2021, the Huawei ICT Academy on the basis of Non-profit "JSC AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev"  was recognized as the best in Kazakhstan. Certified lecturers of the Academy Golubeva Tatyana Viktorovna and Taylakov Viktor Aleksandrovich won in the nomination "The Best Coach". 13 students made it to the top 15 in the competition "Seeds for the Future 2021". 5 students entered the top 10, including first and third place, in the "Huawei ICT Competition  Kazakhstan 2021".
