Abai created about 170 poems, made 56 translations, wrote poems. In the universal human system of Abai, moral education is of paramount importance. Through his labors, he was able to instill these values in more than one generation. A special place among his works is occupied by the prose poem "Kara soz" - "Words of edification" ("kara sozder"). It consists of 45 short parables or philosophical treatises. Problems of history, pedagogy, morality and the rights of ethnic Kazakhs are raised in "Edification". And today, in the age of digitalization and global changes in the processes of socialization of young people, the issues of upbringing and preserving the most important value attitudes of the individual - civic position, identity and patriotism are more relevant than ever.
One of the missions of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev is the formation of our youth's civic responsibility, pride in the history of their state, familiarization with the values of world and national culture, bringing it up in the spirit of mutual respect, ethnocultural tolerance. Therefore, “Day of Abai” is another holiday of the triumph of knowledge, science, labor and high morality.
