ON DECEMBER 10 ADMISSION OF DOCUMENTS FOR AWARDING GRANTS TO THE MASTER'S PROGRAMS IN KAZAKHSTAN STARTS

Admission of documents for participation in the competition for the award of educational grants to the Master’s programs starts on December 10 and will last until December 14 inclusive. Applications are accepted through virtual admissions offices of universities.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science decided that now those who wish can apply for master's and doctoral studies twice a year.

“Thus, Kazakhstanis who, for one reason or another, could not submit an application during the traditional first admission of documents, received another opportunity to pass comprehensive testing and enroll in Master’s programs. Applicants who successfully pass the tests may win grants that were not awarded at the end of the summer admission. Let me remind you that educational grants for studying in a Master’s programs are awarded on a competitive basis in accordance with the results of comprehensive testing,” said Adlet Toybaev, director of the Department “Higher and Postgraduate Education” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The passing score for admission to a scientific and pedagogical Master’s programs on an educational grant and on a paid basis is 75 points, to a specialized Master’s programs is 50 points.

When submitting documents, applicants indicate one group of educational programs and three higher educational institutions. The competition for the award of an educational grant for the Master’s programs will be held from December 15 to 22 of this year, enrollment - from December 26, 2021 to January 10, 2022.

Those applying for a master's degree can apply for more than three thousand state educational grants. Most of the grants were allocated for the specialties "Chemistry" (172 grants), "Veterinary medicine" (169), "Mechanics and metalworking" (156), "Metallurgical engineering" (137), "Production of building materials, products and structures" (132) , "Materials science and technology of new materials" (130) and others.

The lists of holders of educational grants for the Master’s programs will be published on the website of the National Testing Center, as well as on the pages of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in social networks.
