As part of the program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to attract foreign specialists to teaching activities, Professor of the Berlin Higher School of Economics and Law (Germany), Doctor of Engineering in the direction of «Wind Energy» Yuri Plotkin arrived at NPJSC AUPET.

Professor Yu. Plotkin was involved in the teaching activities of the graduate departments «Renewable and alternative energy sources», «Electric Power Engineering» and held lectures for undergraduate students of the group of educational programs «B062-Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering» on the following topics:

- «Introduction to Renewable Energy Sources, Introduction to Networks, brief introduction to Wind Turbines, Network frequency management»;

- «Wind power plants: conditions of connection to networks, topologies; Electric fields, power electronics: valves, circuit diagrams»;

- «Network Design for WKA integration, a brief introduction to solar energy»;

- «Three-phase systems, ESB transformer, rotating field generation»

and others.

In addition to involvement in the educational process, the scientist Yu . Plotkin consulted undergraduates and doctoral students on the implementation of dissertations and planned to write joint articles with teachers of departments because of cooperation in the field of science.

International cooperation with foreign scientists in the field of renewable energy makes it possible to improve the quality and universality of professional training for the implementation of the global energy transition to «green» technologies, and also makes training more attractive and prestigious.
